Bilal @ Plug Research

So this video is from a couple weeks back when I went to Plug Research. I got there a little late, but was lucky enough to catch bilal's set. This is one of the many videos I have. His performance was utterly amazing. Very inspiring. His album doesnt compare to his Live set...

Woman Kills Attacker, then Flees on the Subway (NY)

A woman who was harassed by a group of up to eight thugs as she tried to get to the subway stabbed one of them to death before fleeing on the F train, according to published reports.

Police say the men swarmed around the woman outside a chicken restaurant near the Queensbridge station at about 9 p.m., where they proceeded to begin grabbing her and engaging in other unwanted sexual advances, according to the Daily News.

Eventually, the woman broke free of the circle of men, raced down to the platform and hopped onto a train. But the men followed.

"They tried to physically drag her off the train, but she fights back," one cop told the News.

The woman was pulled off the train and dragged up the stairs. Then she pulled out a knife and stabbed one of them multiple times in the chest before racing back down to the platform, getting on another train and escaping her attackers.

Cops responded to a 911 call of a man stabbed inside the F train station at 21st Street and 41st Avenue. The 29-year-old man, identified as Thomas Winston, of Queens, was stabbed in the torso, cops say. He was rushed to Cornell Hospital, where he died.

I NEED These!

These two Chuck Taylor Hi-tops are the result of work between high-end clothier, Missoni, and Converse. Each Chuck’s canvas is stamped with Missoni’s trademark zigzag pattern. The patterns are colored in with hues that coincide with Missoni’s Fall/Winter 2010 Men’s collection. The Chucks retain their white rubber toe cap and sole but do lose the common black foxing stripe encompassing the midsole.

Angela Missoni, the brand’s Creative Director, is quoted for choosing the Chuck Taylor because “…it’s the one that girls and boys of all times have liked to wear and is still the coolest today.” The Missoni for Converse Chuck Taylor All Star is scheduled for an April release and will be price marked at $200. The shoe’s availability will be limited to the Missoni stores in New York and Beverly Hills, Jeffrey in New York and Atlanta, and a handful of international boutiques.

Skateboarding Monk

Photographs of a monk skateboarding inside a historic temple have caused controversy in China.

They were taken by a visitor to the Emei Mountain Temple, in Sichuan province, and posted on the internet, reports Huaxi Metropolis News.

The monastery stands near the top of Mount Emei - the highest of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China and the site of the country's first ever Buddhist temple.

Internet users were taken aback by the photographs and posted comments criticising the monk for adopting a "modern fad".

"Monks should seek quietness and riding a skateboard is such a contradictory thing to Buddhist life," said one.

However, a spokesman for the temple said that the outside world did not understand the life of a contemporary monk.

"People get their impressions from TV or movies, where monks are praying all day long, without any motivation or desire," he said.

"But these days monks also enjoy sports like badminton, table tennis and skateboarding in the spare time, as well as praying.

"They even use the internet and mobile phones to promote Buddhism. This is not contradictory to Buddhism but actually is part of the Buddhist spirit."

About a minute or so had passed as she fumbled through her three hundred dollar purse, trying to find the keys she always tends to lose.
It doesn't help that tonight she fell victom to two glasses of red wine, and a slice of german chocolate cake, which happens to be one of her guilty pleasures.
She became overwhelmed with frustration, accompanied with the hope that she didn't carlessly leave them in the restaurant. She was parked a little less than a block away, yet she knew the walk back in those heels would kill her. She put her purse on the roof her car, leaned against the door, and cursed.
It was eleven thirty.
Then, at the very moment she remembered placing her keys in the pocket of her coat, she noticed a man no more than fifty feet from where she stood, smoking a cigarette. She felt a chill run down her neck after realizing the possibility that this man had been standing there, the entire time, watching.
After regaining her focus, she quickly opened her car door, locked it,settled in the driver seat, fastened her belt, and started the engine. She decided to look in the mans direction one more time before she pulled away. He had begun walking towards her car at a swift pace, and was about five seconds away from reaching her passenger door.
Terror rushed her heart, visions of newscasts about women being abducted clouded her her mind, and fear took over her body. She threw the car in drive and sped off as if she were in a high speed police chase, leaving the mysterious gentleman in the middle of the street.
She calmed herself down and slowed to the speed limit. He kneeld down and picked up the three hundred dollar purse she carelessly left on top of her car.
Two days later she received a package in the mail, and attached was a note that read: "Everything is all here. Well everything except the gum, big red is my favorite"

A Bald Bear

this is CREEPY!!!

bears dont look that tough covered in a bunch of fuzzy fur. However, if that fur comes off like Dolores up there, you see exactly how vicious these animals are...

There isnt much info on why shes bald, other than it happening to two of her kin.

this is in Germany by the way.

Lions, Tigers and .... Bald BEars? oh my...
